  • As part of my research stay and preparation for specialization in my academic life, I spent the summer of 2025, prior to my international stay, at the National Cancer Institute (INCAN) in the laboratory of Dr. Patricia García. Alongside her master's and doctoral students, I focused on perfecting my knowledge and techniques of PCR.

  • As part of a week-long in-person event in collaboration with the University of the Andes in Bogotá, different cytokines were evaluated in a cell culture of endothelial cells for the treatment of arterial hypertension, in the project called “Analysis of Pro-inflammatory Cytokines in HCMEC/D3 Cells of Cerebral Endothelium to Implement a Therapeutic Strategy for Arterial Hypertension” led by Dr. Ricardo A. Peña Silva and Dr. Beatriz Sarmiento.

  • During my research stay/summer internship, I was part of Dr. Alejandro Manuel García Carrancá's laboratory at the National Cancer Institute (INCAN). During my stay, I practiced various laboratory techniques, such as Western blotting, and assisted project leaders in conducting experiments gaining basic and complex lab working experience along with professional experience.

Gynecology and Obstetrics MediTec XIII

  • Staff of the gynecology and obstetrics booth at Meditec XXIII. Meditec is an event that provides free basic and preventative healthcare services to low-income individuals, students, and anyone else who wishes to participate.
  • At the gynecology and obstetrics booth, we promoted breast self-exams for early detection of breast cancer, and provided information on breastfeeding, sexual health, intimate hygiene, sexually transmitted infections, common women's health issues, menopause, menarche, menstruation, pregnancy, and other related topics. In collaboration with FUCAM, we offered free mammograms.
  • This experience enriched me personally and professionally. With the participation of more than 2,000 people at the event, I learned to communicate the most valuable information together with the rest of the team and to function as a united stand to help girls and women resolve doubts and concerns.

  • A 4-week block in which fifth-semester Biosciences students work with master's and doctoral students from Karolinska Medical University to create posters on various chronic diseases and their biomarkers remotely through the Global Classroom.
  • It challenged us to wokr in-between timezones and organize a better schedule for the team in a remote way.
  • Critical thunking and problem solving were critical tools for this assignment. The results were better than what both institutions had in mind and the project was proof of teamwork and collaboration.

Radio Producer "Concepto Radial"

  • During the first two semesters of my career, I was a producer for a radio program called “Octava Alterna” which was part of the radio station “Concepto Radial” of the Monterrey Institute of Technology, Mexico City.
  • It expanded my capabilities and included tasks such as media management, time management and forced me to get out of my comfort zone with ideas and prompts for each episode with little to no margin of error.

  • Research stay at the UNAM Biomedical Laboratory at INCAN (2025)
  • Research stay at the INCAN Basic Research Virus and Cancer Laboratory, directed by Dr. Alejandro García Carrancá, within the research line of Human Papillomavirus (HPV), stem cells, and anogenital cancer. As part of my stay, I completed a summer research internship, where I was responsible for a small project designed to support the other projects and activities carried out within the laboratory.   • International Research Stay at UVa. My international research stay at UVa gave me a new perspective on solving pharmacovigilance problems and the importance of pharmacogenetics in the field, with an approach from a developed country and the management of multiple datasets and spreadsheets in Excel. I also conducted an in-depth analysis of this data to carry out an observational study. (2025)
