- An investigation was carried out on the situation of Bacalar Lagoon, Quintana Roo using parameters of the lagoon's water quality provided by National Water Commission (CONAGUA) and Potable Water and Sewerage Commission (CAPA) in a series of 8 years which were treated statistically.
- Results showed that the lagoon system is transforming into a mesotrophic environment and could result in rapid eutrophication of Bacalar lagoon.
