Gulfstream Aerospace
06.2017 - Current
  • Responsible for implementing on time and quality engineering changes on existing products and participates transferring new products, ensuring requirements planning, material and necessary tool.
  • Established the introduction of new SBU's such as Z frames and Cabinets and all the manufacturing processes that they entail.
  • Actively supporting the validation of manufacturability on new parts (producibility) on Assemblies, Cabinets, Fabrication, Honeycomb SBU's.
  • Support on shop flor related from First Articles derived from engineering changes and / or transfers (RCCA, DMT, DR/DI's, MCR's, ECR's, TMO's, Redlines, WOA, rework routines, PCL, etc.)
  • Support analyzes executes action related with all MT and process related systems.
  • Design and support training to all new personnel concerned with processes.

Quality Control Student

Gulfstream Aerospace
07.2016 - 05.2017
  • Create different measurement tools mainly for assembly, machining, and fabrication in order to assure and control quality at Gulfstream.
  • Designing and developing POKA YOKE for push test fixture, impacting mainly at electrical areas. (Saving time on processes, eliminate bad settlement defects, ergonomics).
  • Creating designs of part numbers and 3D impressions through CATIA as fixtures due to escapements.

Education

Bachelor Degree - Aerospace Engineering

Universidad Autónoma De Baja California
Mexicali, Baja California, México
05.2016

Skills

  • CATIA V5 Workbenches: Assembly Design, Drafting, EHI, Part Design, Surface, Sheet Metal Design
  • Composites: Materials, characteristics, processes, honeycombs
  • Other Software's: Smarteam, Solumina 1 & 2, SAP
  • Microsoft Office: Word, Excel (Advanced/Macros), Power Point, Visio, Access, Outlook

Certification

  • Product Development and Mechanical Design (CAD/CAM/CAE) at Universidad Autónoma de Baja California. (Nov 2016 - Feb 2017).

Accomplishments

  • Cabinets Producibility: Review the availability of the processes that we already do to be able to manufacture part numbers that are consumed in the Cabinets SBU so that Mexicali does not depend on a vendor and are done internally.
  • Majors Sub-Assemblies: Lead, develop plan to safely transfer over 570 new P/N's from Majors SBU's to Assemblies, Fabrication & Machining SBU's to reduce assembly fixture usage, improve the manufacturing process, reduce lead times, improve quality on models G500, G600, G650, G700 & G800.
  • Rework Obsolete Engineering P/N's: Support and create a statement of work for all obsolete part numbers which doesn't meet the latest engineering change, teamwork with different departments to reach savings worth of $150K.
  • Manufacturing Role (Support at Shopfloor): Responsible for all the support given on the introduction of new Aircrafts programs on Assemblies SBU for G700 & G800 programs. Direct support to operations, providing manufacturing solutions, improving process, introducing manual & drilling tools (Apr 2018 - Nov 2021).
  • Assembly Fixtures Transference: Support assembly fixture's transference for different Majors on new programs.
  • Spare Parts: Lead, provide support at shop floor & coordinate new transferences of G450/G550 part numbers based on the characteristics, forming tools, drawings, blueprints.
