My name is Ana Goebel Guzmán and I am a 19 year old Mexican girl passionate about helping others and striving to make a positive change in this world. I want to stand up for gender equality (and human rights in general) and I would love to innovate in the educational sector as well as making learning more accessible for everyone.
I am a very dedicated, self driven student currently doing a bachelor degree focused on transforming businesses and having a social impact. I count with a strong set of skills and knowledge I've gained from past experienced and I am eager to bring this and what I am currently learning to apply it in projects that will make a change.
The National Hispanic Institute is a youth latinx leadership summer program I attended to since 2018 as participant and became coach in 2020. Last summer I was director of the mock trial debate category and was in charged of training the Mexican team to compete internationally. The positions of the staff members change each year but overall we train future Latinx leaders.
Managed logistics teams in the feminist, LGBTQ+, climate change and student council associations in my High School. I coordinated events and bake sales, I made sure to build plans and follow through them, contacted event speakers, get school permissions, determined a budget, and distribute and prioritize tasks.
Adapted professional theatre scripts to easier to follow script for children 5-10 years old. Took care of them during breaks, choreographed simple dances and helped School to make sure that at the end of the summer, the kids could present a full play to their friends, families and acquaintances.
