Billing & Payments

  • Successfully managed and enhanced the Microsoft Advertising Billing & Payments platform by identifying and delivering solutions that protect revenue, reduce spend, and support new ad products
  • Identified an opportunity to drive revenue and adoption by supporting new currencies. Led the planning and execution and so far, this investment has brought in $500K in revenue in just 3 months
  • Spearheaded the engineering effort to onboard a new payment provider to our platform, which resulted in increased reliability, reduced full outrage risk, and boosted credit card swipe success rate by 2%
  • Designed, planned, and oversaw the execution of a brand new billing model, Subscription Ads, which is a 'simple to understand' model targeted towards SMBs (est. impact $20M with MS365 integration)

Import Tool

  • Manage and grow Ads Import tool, which allows us to bring new demand (ads) and valuable insights from other advertising channels. Import influences ~50% of total Microsoft Ads Revenue.
  • Grew import adoption by 5% during H1 (target is 10% by EOY)
  • Support onboarding of large advertisers to the tool by providing personalized and timely support, as well as sharing/creating relevant documentation. Recently onboarded booking.com, which will bring in 1500+ accounts to import
  • Improve import documentation and online resources to reduce customer escalations. Last semester these escalations were reduced by 28%
  • Process and digest large amounts of feedback (~6/week) from various sources, including partner engineering teams, sales, support, and customers to identify high-impact opportunities and deliver short and long-term solutions (e.g., workflow changes)
  • Support new ad import channels, such as Facebook Import and Pinterest Import, to bring new demand from new platforms. Main focus is to bring in more image assets to enrich ads, imported Image Assets has grown by 72% in the last semester
