As a Quality Manufacturing QMS Document Control Intern, my main responsibilities are managing quality documents such as SOPs and quality visual aids, ensuring compliance with Honeywell QMS. I maintain the document control system (MasterWeb), manage version control, and support preparations for ISO 9001: 2015 recertification audit, by ensuring the availability and accuracy of required documentation.
I am currently working in the migration of documentation for the QMS to a new site that will use the same scope and templates once the transition finishes.
I'm assisting the quality engineering department with Quality validations, replacements of missing parts to customers, PPAP documentation preparations, GR&R studies, follow up to non-conformances, and providing training on document control procedures for new employees. My role also involves identify process improvement opportunities and collaborate with various departments to uphold quality standards according to the directions given
Providing general support for quality systems involves handling quality documentation, such as quality instructions, acceptance and rejection criteria, review, approval, and uploading to platforms. It also entails tracking and processing quality updates, organizing reviews and regular meetings with process owners for managerial audits, following quality instructions, including LPAs audits, collecting data and monthly results, updating the database with relevant information such as users, lines, stations, and processes, and basic interpretation of drawings. Additionally, it involves collaborating with engineers for the review of control plans, PFMEAs, and flowcharts.
Participation in the training and induction process of new personnel, description and updating of job profiles according to the company's organizational chart, preparation and submission of reports to the area interested in hiring, request for documents from applicants and verification of their work references, tracking candidates throughout the hiring process, calendar management, scheduling, and participation in interviews with candidates, advising staff on company policies and procedures.
