Protecting Smiles Tecnológico De Monterrey
04.2018 - 05.2020

Protecting Smiles is a health-focused project aimed at providing primary care to children from various foster homes around our city. Over the course of a week, we dedicate each day to visiting a different foster home to conduct comprehensive medical check-ups for all resident children. These check-ups include dental evaluations, nutritional assessments, and vaccinations. Additionally, psychological evaluations are performed using the HEADSS assessment guide to assess the children's emotional well-being. Finally, we offer recommendations to the various foster homes on how they can implement improvements in child care.

  • I have had the honor of spearheading an initiative at Clinic 25 of the Mexican Social Security Institute (IMSS), designed with the core objective of delivering happiness and support to children undergoing hospital treatment. This initiative has been characterized by the deployment of a variety of engaging activities, including interactive play sessions, storytelling, and theatrical performances, conducted every Friday throughout the year. Our mission is centered on enriching the lives of these courageous young patients by providing a source of joy and companionship, thereby offering them a sanctuary from the challenging realities of their medical journeys. The essence of our program lies in its commitment to be an unwavering source of encouragement and support, accompanying the children through each phase of their recovery process. This is achieved not merely through recreational activities but also by ensuring a consistent and nurturing presence in their lives.
