  • Company Overview: Company dedicated to the manufacture of motors EPS for industries automotive (Nexteer, BOSCH, ZF, JTEK, Schaeffler ).
  • Responsible in the development of new products and provide technical support for their transfer to the manufacturing site, and development and execution of DFA analysis, FMEAS processes, equipment design, tools, line design, process design and development, transfers and validations of lines in the plant in conjunction with (STC and R&D japan team), investment analysis (ringi, capex) and presentation for approval with the CEO staff.

  • Responsible for designing assembly and measurement of the processes for Tesla Motor in this was reduced from 25 % PPM in one month to 5 % PPM, the method used DOE was established for the resistance welding process (Miyachi), the pressure was controller and redesign of electrodes from tungsten to copper with new parameters of control (time weld and current weld), and new fixture for the equipment and an control of electrode cycles work , this analyzing the voltage and current whit a welding monitor (Miyachi), this helped us to reduce 3 types of scrap of 18% to 4% and increase Yield form 85% to 94%, the changes were validated with a pilot run of 1000 parts for the new control plan and PPAP.
  • Analysis of the current process, qualification and capacity process ( CpK´s of the process) and (GR & G), and responsible of the reports of production to communicate the line capacity to the engineering manager and team of engineering of design and performs tasks in fault analysis and machine troubleshooting.
  • Creation of visual aids and operations work instructions. Increase production from 28 pc to 60 pc per hour, with the implementation of systems vision and change of operations flow, development of pokayokes, scrap reduction. Developing new models for platforms General Motors , Audi , KET , Tesla Motors and Lear , Faraday , PFMEA´s, Flow Charts. Development of engineering runs, Validation of parts, shipment of samples to the laboratory and customer.
  • Design of fixtures to improve employee safety, development of new processes to facilitate the employee operation. Improvements in machinery and process to reduction scrap meeting the goal, Teamwork with department quality, deal with suppliers.
  • Implementation of maximum and minimum critical tooling, reduced downtime model changeovers from 10% to 4% meeting target, application of TPM, PM, MTTR and MTTF, update document process, using Minitab to calculate process capability per model.
