Responsible for the materials strategy in the assigned global business unit. This position includes responsibility for situational analysis, strategy development and guidance in implementation for the functional disciplines of supply chain development, procurement, planning and inventory control.

Key Responsibilities:

Identify creative ways to reduce cost

Negotiate favorable pricing, payment terms, and advanced supply chain optimization programs such as supplier-owned inventory, Just-in-Time delivery schedules, reduced lead times and cancellation terms, return privileges

Forecast Development and Accuracy

Technical Management as a point of escalation (Purchasing, Planning and Inventory Control)

Customer service for all topics that need expert in material management

Major accomplishments:

1) Leader of project to develop Global procurement strategy to improve Inventory management for a specific customer.

• Responsible for managing MRP to ensure that materials supply equals demand and to support optimization of overall cost of materials; Perform this activity for Regional Operation Department supporting Brazil & Mexico sites.; Experience as Sr
• Buyer with knowledge at different Supply models such as discrete order, consignment orders, JIT & SMI; Provide inputs to drive and execute Jabil's commodity and pricing strategy
• Work closely with Buyers, Commodity Managers, & SCM
• Provide feedback on supplier performance and Jabil's strategies; Participate in decision making of MPS loading through proper materials sizing; Monitor and continuously improve supplier's delivery and quality performance
• Address and resolve recurring or critical issues by utilizing corrective action tools and additional resources; Maintain integrity of master data and purchasing planning parameters in order to minimize material liability and to balance the cost of procurement with inventory investment levels; Eliminate materials liabilities understanding the ownership (supplier / customer)
• Track and provide supporting data to BUM in order to clearly define customer liable materials
• Execute and maximize Jabil negotiated terms with suppliers to reduce materials liability; Support Accounts Payable in resolving invoice discrepancies; Minimize materials freight expenses for Jabil.

• Leads and manages the entire Manufacturing Department using leadership, delegation, and administrative maintenance (i.e
• Employee evaluation, admissions / Layoffs, discipline, etc.) for all customers; Responsible for establishing and implementing the budget of the areas under their responsibility; Coordinates activities with other departments of the Organization to provide an excellent level of service to customers (internal and external); Tracking and control Metrics to ensure on target: Process scrap, Productivity, Downtime, OEE (Overall Equipment Efficiency), OLE (Overall Labor Efficiency), 5S and head count (direct labor);

• Plan and Perform Suppliers audit to development and evaluate; Functions as the focal point for commodity related quality and functional issues that stem from components being purchased for manufacturing; Ensures that all production critical supplier issues are resolved in a timely manner, and corrective actions are implemented correctly; Return the material on time to avoid liabilities; Selects appropriate Inspection Plans and Inspection Methods, and provide guidance to Receiving Inspection Auditors; Ensures ongoing site supplier evaluation is performed
• This would be achieved by using site information collected from Receiving Inspection and rate of material return to vendor; Drives supplier selection strategies.

• Attendee Kick off meeting to understand project (drawing, specifications, etc.); Prepare material quote packages and request quotes from thesupply base; Manage the supply base for use in quoting materials; Ensure all sensitive and confidential information is handled appropriately
• Monitor SAT execution to ensure potential savings; Tracking metric of Price purchase variance (PPV); Create inspections plans in MRP system (SAP); Support for SAP users;
