Volunteer Experience
- 2012, 2022, Teaching Orphaned Children, I have been teaching children in orphanages and orphaned children in my community with limited access to proper educational facilities and the absence of proper care, whenever I have time to commit for the whole semester. I used to teach almost all subjects (Arabic, English, science, and mathematics).
- 2014, 2019, Community Health Awareness Campaigns, Organizing, supervising, and taking an active part in health awareness campaigns that targeted young adults in universities and community colleges, in addition to people in remote areas in different Jordan governorates with low levels of education and demanding access to health facilities. These campaigns addressed general physical health, mental health, and well-being, most common chronic diseases and infectious diseases, prescribed and OTC medications, and customized community-based patient counseling.
Projects
10/2022, CURRENT, Evaluating NCDs burden in Jordan, We are currently starting this broad research project in collaboration with the Jordan Ministry of Health, and it will be done in several stages to involve all NCDs. Project summary: It aims to evaluate NCDs' burden in Jordan by measuring and evaluating the population attributable fractions-the proportion of the disease incidence in the population that developed due to exposure to lifestyle risk factors of association-in order to highlight the importance of implementing strategies that aim to reduce exposure to these factors. 10/01/2022, 06/20/2023, Smoking cessation clinic report at KHCC, Work on cleaning and analyzing data: smokers in smoking cessation clinic at King Hussein Cancer Center and writing a descriptive report about the patients and the clinic for 5 years 08/01/2022, 06/20/2023, Continuous Education Program, Planning and creating material for 1-year continuous education webinars, scientific debates, and research conferences covering topics for tobacco dependence treatment, substance and non-substance addiction, behavior change, and NCD control. in order to do advanced capacity building for medical practitioners in the MENA region and expand our training to involve all aspects of cancer control and other chronic diseases. 12/01/2022, 06/01/2023, Status Quo Report Of Tobacco Control In Jordan, My team and I will be working on the second Status Quo report, which is done every 10 years. We will be working with the Jordan Ministry of Health and other NGOs which are active in tobacco control. It is a comprehensive report that aims to evaluate the situation of tobacco control implementation in Jordan. 10/15/2019, 12/15/2019, Establishing Educational Pharmacy, Planning and establishing a pharmacy inside the college for students during my work as a lecturer, in order to create a simulation-based education environment for pharmacy students to practice community pharmacy skills and knowledge.

- 11/11/2022 - 11/13/2022, Amman, Jordan, King Hussein Cancer Research Conference, Participated at the conference as part of the cancer control office team by presenting our research in the capacity-building department, which evaluates and shows outcomes for the experience of five years of conducting a Tobacco Treatment Dependence accredited program training for more than 350 specialist physicians, pharmacists, and other medical practitioners-presenting the experience as a unique training model in this field in the MENA region.
