I have been involved with the board of investors for this last three companies described, we were a group of 3 students from UC Santa Barbara, California, U.S., investors and my self beginning this exciting journey and since then I have accomplish several personal golds such as being part of the first global leader company in regenerative seaweed production for a sustainable future of the planet and our oceans.
From 2009 to 2022 my position was Director General (also Legal representant of the Mexican entities) and since 2022 up to date I have been promoted as a Director of Sales and Business Development. This new position is been everything I always wanted after completing the whole chain of production to sales.
My experience is in the area of: Cultivation, Production, Quality Assurance, Oversight, Management and Developing Sales.
I have over 10 years of Experience as Manager of Operation for different Companies, cultivating sustainable aquaculture systems, ranging from scientific research and development to applicable real world use case scenarios and leadership exp.
The Director General of Mexican Operations (DGMO) oversees Blue Evolution’s aquaculture and process operations in Mexico and reports directly to VP of Operations US/Mexico.
The DGMO serves as a supply-side contact to the VP of Operations and BE Foods to create best practices and determine ongoing processing plant production demands. The DGMO is tasked with implementing BE Operating Board’s corporate strategy, oversee long-term growth and implement cost saving strategies in Mexico Operations which currently include ‘UABC’ and ‘Erendira’ farms with future sites TBD.
The position is based in the Northern Baja region.
Primary Responsibilities.

First Non-profit to implement ecological aquaculture in open ocean environment.
The main objective was to help coastal communities transition from overfishing and destructive seafood farming practices to more ecologically and financially sound livelihoods through a high technology alternatives of ecological aquaculture.
Primary Responsibilities.
· Legal representant.
· Preminary data collection for research into natural feedstock potential in pods, include gathering information of samples at fishing and farming companies in San Carlos Mexico in collaboration with research institutions.
· Coordinate planning for Olazul pilot project to include species selection, broodstock harvest, hatchery/nursery operations, feed design, offshore grow out, harvest and marketing. Also developing research and development program parallel with production.
· Liaise with stakeholders in México including non profit organizations, business, government agencies, fishing communities and research/educational institutions.
· Set up of Olazul Mexico legal entity including incorporation, management, accounting, outreach, administration, and human resources.
· Collected data for the Bren School project. "Spatial planning for sustainable offshore shrimp aquaculture".
· Assist with general production of Olazul documentary project in coordination with UCSB interns in 2011.
· Monthly reports to board on activities/ Progress and challenges.
· Handle all outreach with Olazul partners and contacts in industry, civil society and government.
· Manage all contracts, human resource issues and administrative duties related to Olazul projects in México.
· Handle coordination, setup, accounting, and oversights of all Olazul projects in MX. including:
1) Educational training programs.
2) Feed substitute and natural productivity research and development efforts.
3) Native species hatchery.
4) Artisanal offshore shrimp farm pilot.
· Manage all contracts, human resource issues and administrative duties related to Olazul projects in México
· Responsible of obtaining permits from different government institutions in order to operate an offshore farm, permits such as, SEMARNAT, SCT, CONAPESCA, Aquaculture Comity of safety assurance, Port authorities.

· Development of provision strategies guaranteeing the supply of raw materials in the project of expansion of capacity of the plant.

Responsible of quality and safety assurance systems (SQF 2000, HACCP, GOOD MANUFACTURING PRACTICES, POES, QUALITY PLAN) is working correctly, responsible for planning and giving pursuit to the corrective actions to maintain the system within the requirements of international certifications (USDA, SQF), laws and regulations.
· Establish new systems for the evaluation of the productivity, design procedures of verification for the safety / quality of the product.
· Relocation of equipment to increase the performance and decrease the handling of the product in order to improve the production as much as the safety of products optimizing the resources and the accuracy of the procedures.
Member of the Quality Control Committee between areas of Sales, Boarding , Production, Reception, Purchases, in charge of the development and implementation of ISO 9000. Supervision of the quality performance for the wheat flour production and implementation of ISO 9001 2000.
