• Being responsible for the health of employees of four different companies (Lau Industries de México, ICS VMI Group Packacking & Logistics in its two industries, Maquilados Técnicos SA de CV y Winston Juárez S de RL de CV), as well as compliance with the regulations corresponding to the Medical Department.
• Working together with the departments of Nutrition and Psychology for the adequate development and application of the standards that should be carried out (NOM-035-STPS-2018, NOM-251-SSA1-2009, among others).
• Giving medical consultation.
• Keep records of vulnerable or high-risk patients (hypertensives, diabetics, pregnant women, etc.) and give them medical check periodically according to regulations and need of everyone.
• Provide care to those involved in accidents or work injuries, both institutional and extra-institutional, from their investigation as well as their treatment, follow-up and recovery.
• Making annual examinations for occupationally exposed personnel.
• Carry out daily cafeteria audits on each shift (NOM-251).
• Carry out preventive health campaigns (Pap smears, vaccines, breast examination, among other preventive health measures).
• Manage recreational activities for health (first aid brigades, health fairs).
• Conduct safety tours with the Safety and Hygiene Committee. Conduct a weekly chemical review tour.
• Daily review the personal protective equipment according to the standard (NOM-017-STPS-2008) in every work shift.
• Create a population risk map as well as educational material for health promotion (monthly).
• Perform ergonomic studies at the workstations of each position to prevent work-related injuries or illnesses, as well as risk analysis of machinery and operations in conjunction with the safety team.
• Conduct ergonomic risk factor questionnaires (NOM-036-1-STPS-2018) with a focus on cargo handling as well as its evaluation and preventive and corrective actions.
• Create a program of active breaks for health to prevent postural or work injuries, reduce stress and improve performance and efficiency in each position.
• Make requests for all the necessary materials and medications that a medical department area must have.
• Review the infrastructure and equipment of the medical office according to the standard (NOM-005-SSA3-2010.)
• Participate in the creation of an annual work plan in each company that outlined the responsibilities and obligations of medical, nursing, psychological, social work and nutritional staff.
• Encourage fluid communication with the areas in charge to improve work effectiveness.
• Participate in the necessary meetings to define goals and analyze outcomes, while proposing improvements in the health area to optimize processes, performance and results.
• Monitoring that jobs are executed according to the schedule.
• Carry out medication inventory.
• Provide support in the hiring and training processes of personnel in different areas.
• Participate in the development of workplace injury prevention campaigns (safety week, etc.).
• Assess and interpret results of diagnostic tests.
• Maintain a good flow of patients without neglecting the quality of care.
