  • I was responsible for supervising the contractors for the installation of copper cabling for the entire backbone and extension network within offices and factories, I even participated by doing these activities myself.
  • This was a company of Israeli origin and I worked as a Service and Installations Engineer for small and large PBXs of the own brand. I was also responsible for putting the switchboard into operation, carrying out the initial start-up

  • In an overview my duties at MICROSOFT were almost the same as in EQUINIX, resolving tickets, following the information those tickets had to better fix the issues
  • I also did fiber optic links and UTP links as well, these links were installed between the devices located in the racks certifying both types of links.
  • The corrective maintenance activities over servers included but not limited to replace defective components as CPU, memories as DIMM and NV memories, mother boards. I performed minimal boot on the servers as well.
  • Microsoft has a region datacenter in the state of Querétaro and three campuses within it; I worked in each one of them as a Senior technician doing corrective maintenance over servers, on these activities I gave some guidance to less experienced technicians.

  • Playing the role of team leader. My main daily activities were to monitor the operational status of a mobile phone network for SPRINT, one of the Ericsson´s customer. Handle the incident management lifecycle from triaging alerts, troubleshooting and escalating as needed, ensuring bugs and/or other issues at filed with the appropriate engineering teams, using the REMEDY IT platform. Constant daily interaction with field engineers, duty managers, and fiber optic providers when there were massive failures in wide coverage areas. All the incidents dealt with were related to the RBS, BTS, eNodeB, BSS, RNC on GSM, 3G, 4G and 5G operational network.
  • Initial set up of IP protocol as IPV4, IPV6, RIP, RIPv2, EIGRP,OSPF. Monitoring DWDM optical transmission systems issues.

  • In the south-southeast region of Mexico for the deployment and integration of a back-bone project with national coverage, with Huawei brand DWDM & SDH optical transmission technology. This project was designed, deployed and integrated for the GTAC company ; one of huawei´s customers.
  • My area of coordination encompassed from state of Mexico, Morelos and Mexico City to Qintana Roo. Being 80% of the time in office and 20% in field.
  • Coordinate a team of 24 field engineers and several contractors in the nodes of the network. Received and reviewed expense accounts, received requests for materials as well as sending them for all activities related to the implementation of all DWDM nodes on the network.
  • I got involved in activities such as site inspection, installation of racks, electrical connection, supervision of fiber optic installation in internal and external plant; initial power-up tests, acceptance, integration and delivery protocols to the customer.   • The necessary test equipment for these activities were :frequency meter, optical power meter, pattern generator, and spectrum analyzer.
  • I also participated in a large micro-wave project to provide telephone service to remote communities in rural areas within Mexico.
  • I was a supervisor in the installation of antennas in telecommunication towers and their connection to the IRT 200 Phillips brand electronic systems, to implement chain and star topology networks; with microwave signals (MW links) and radiating points in RF.
