Gabriela Angelina Bernal Ibañez

Mechanical engineering student, entrepeneur and visual artist. Passionate about innovation and sustainable solutions. I have represented Mexico as a NASA fellow, competed as a national finalist in Hult Prize, CEO and founder of the startup Gama Construction, recognized internationally for replacing traditional building materials with eco-friendly options. Co-founder of SHARE Plus, an initiative that has impacted more than 120,000 students worldwide. All this, enriched with my participation in national and international leadership programs, creating visual art pices and being a leader committed to sustainability and social impact.

• Mayan Space co-founder: Developing projects to give more reliance on Mexican Technology and its cultural worth as part of Mayan Space Spatial Agency.
• Speaker in Worldwide Space Week “Women in space” 2021: Speaker in the Worldwide Space Week, as a Mayan Space member.
• SHARE+ Co-founder: Initiative that help through the creation of interactive applications students in Mexico that do not have access to the internet.
• International Hackathon Winner: Moon Village Association contest, association that collaborates with important companies such as SpaceX and NASA.
• Exhibition at the Mexican Aerospace Fair (FAMEX 2021): Being an exhibitor at the Mexican Aerospace Fair helped me to develop my communication skills.
• International Lunar Habitat Design Tournament (ISSDT 2021 and 2022): representing Mayan Space, where the objective was to design a lunar habitat that complied with NASA's requirements.
• Líderes con Sentido Humano: RepresentingTec de Monterrey Campus Toluca in a national competition developing a project that looked to incorporate disruptive technology for educational purposes along with virtual reality applications.
• TOLMUN United Nations Model 2021 and 2022: Representing China delegation in the ECOSOC commitee, debating sustainability and Environmental Impact topics between Students from diferent high schools
• NASA Scholarship Mexican Selection: selected along 6 other mexicans to represent Mexico in an Exchange Program organized by US Goverment and NASA.
• Premio Luis Elizondo: National Award by Tec de Monterrey for social impact in the category of students group.
• Daikin challenge: Finalist in international competition for startups that promote energy savings and sustainability
• Premio Xignux Challenge: National Competition for Startups and projects with social and environmental impact, winners in prototipe category.
• Eugenio Garza Sada Leadership Program: leadership program designed for Tec de Monterrey undergraduate students, in which I was awarded with the category "Circulo de Eugenio Gaza".
• Chic Magazine Cover Participation: Thanks to my trayectory in science, entrepeneurship and social impact i was selected to be part of the cover of Chic Magazine as part of the June edition in 2023.
• Transforma e Impacta International Program: International program to promote global learning and cultural exchange among student leaders, in partnership with the university of Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, Universidad de los Andes and Tec de Monterrey.
• Hult Prize National Finalist: finalists in the National Summit in Monterrey, Mexico with our project FashionBricks.
• Hult Prize Campus Director: Directing and organizing the events for Hult Prize Competition for the 2024th edition in Tec de Monterrey, Center Zone.
