Conduct comprehensive cognitive and socio-emotional assessments for students across diverse settings, including both general education and extensive needs classrooms, and communicate findings through written reports. Participate in special education eligibility assessments and present assessment results during Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings, utilizing language appropriate for the audience. Collaborate with administrators and teachers to enhance and refine the pre-referral process, facilitating the establishment of a Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS). Conduct functional behavioral assessments and develop behavior intervention plans. Perform assessments for Educational Mental Health Related Services (ERMHS). Proactively engage in professional development opportunities to enhance assessment skills, including training in the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule (ADOS) and The Southern California Ordinal Scales of Development/Cognition.

Participate in SST meetings to recommend, implement, and track interventions for general education students referred for academic and social-emotional concerns. Select, administer, and score psychoeducational assessments. Conduct observations using time-sampling, duration, frequency, and narrative methods. Conduct behavioral observations and observe administration of psychoeducational assessments. Counsel at-risk students, consult with teachers and school staff, and implement small group interventions for students making questionable progress, utilizing data. Utilize curriculum-based measurement to assess progress.
Work under the supervision of a BCBA to implement ABA principles and individualized strategies for individuals with autism and related developmental disorders. Provide 1:1 behavioral intervention to teach social and daily living skills, as well as to reduce inappropriate behaviors. Ensure accurate collection and maintenance of data on client progress.
Assist in the development, implementation, and modeling of behavior and instructional support plans tailored to meet individual student needs. Utilize positive reinforcement strategies to shape student behavior and teach replacement behaviors. Maintain confidentiality and fulfill mandated reporting duties when necessary.
