  • Process Analysis: I have identified significant Non value activities through the assembly, auto insertion, thru-hole, painting, testing, and packaging areas of BRK that did result in several cost reduction projects. These always based on lean methodologies.
  • Kaizen Events: Through Kaizen Events each of the participants were educated on basic and specific lean principles appliable to their work area, most of the time related to an improvement project involving them, from operators to business unit manager. My priority: making the hands-on members feel like they are the ones solving the problem.
  • Data Collection and Analysis: My last HC reduction project consisted of 8 operators reduced for a total of 3 shifts, this resulting of the right data collection and analysis (using Statistical tools) from the Gemba.
  • Problem Solving: As part of the Kaizen team, I used to help colleagues from different departments on problems they had, from admin procedures (finance), cafeteria capacity increase during pandemic (HR) to quality related matters in machines (Maintenance).
  • Training and Education: As owner of the Loss Analysis program in the organization, I provided training on lean principles to all different departments for them to implement in their day by day activities.
  • Project Management: Assure savings from my implemented projects through cyclic tracking all of the implementations and changes made on the line/area.

  • KPIs Maintenance: On Safety I managed to reduce the “days off paid” metric by doing a safety evaluation per station, improvements implementation, then replicate systematically to all my assembly lines (4 total). Moving forward, my achievements on Quality consisted of reduce customer complaints on 25% by eliminating damages to the motor cables, EOL: 50% by line re layout, Fire Wall:35% implementing stickers colocation fixtures. Moreover, on Delivery I increased our rate by 5% improving material handling, maintaining our double bin system, implementing modern tools, designing jigs and fixtures, setting PMs for machinery, and keeping 5S. On Cost I deliver a Kaizen Event per month in were I eliminated operators, waste of raw material, reduce Down Time caused by machines fails, cyclic line balancing to reduce CT. Savings per year +8k/year.
  • NPI Support: I provided all the documentation needed to introduce the new model. Also procured the tooling for my lines to be able to produce the motor. Set up max and min required items on tool crib.
  • OEE: To extend our machinery productive life, I keep OEE metric up to 85% on insertion presses, this triggers TPM projects that end up on CT reduction, FPY increase, Safety rate improvement, Down time reduction, and wellness among workers.

  • Program Planning: Developing production shcedules plans, setting goals, defining deliverables, and establishing project timelines and budgets.
  • Engineering Changes Execution: Monitoring and guiding the execution of individual projects within the program, ensuring adherence to timelines, quality standards, and budgetary constraints. As well as administration and execution of transferences of products, production lines inter companies and with other companies.
  • Risk Assesments: Lead creation of PFMEA’s with interdepartmental teamwork, with the aim of RPN’s reduction and poke yoke implementation.
  • New Products Quotation: Gather quotations for customers for new Product Families and/or products transfer. Check product BOM’s and/or routings, ensuring rates, quantities, materials and labor are well established and well costed.
