I currently lead a team of manual QA specifically for the JAVA language, acting as the bridge between the product owner (Business), the developers and the QAs I make sure we all are in the same page in order to execute the testing based on the changes which are being implemented, such changes can include and are not limited to: UI changes, legal & compliance verbatim deliverance of information to bank consumers trough letters, channels such as dotcom, mobile, etc. changes also entail backend processes to be verified and tested mostly trough visual validation (screenshots and logs pulled from Splunk or Kibana for example). Experience with Sanity testing, smoke, regression, iteration, black box and functional testing.

I currently mostly dedicate my time to ensure the client has all the visibility of my team efforts sprint by sprint and communicating the same via meetings on a daily basis, also by making sure the team has enough time and JIRA points to cover each iteration, helping trough meetings to clear doubts, I also help the team by requesting and creating test data trough client provided software (USAA Bank Credit Risk for Credit Card and Consumer Lending), I can help tackle a couple of JIRA points each sprint of effort for testing as well if needed.

As a QA team lead my activities included the creation of test plans and test scenarios in order for my peers to execute as well as gathering the test data needed for the execution of the testing, I also took care of reviewing the test plans and test scenarios created by my team, making sure that they are covering all the needed criteria for manual testing execution.

Generation of weekly performance reports as well as analysis of research spikes and providing estimates of testing execution lengths and timings as well as working closely with business in order to make the appropriate decision as to which stories have priority o might have dependencies with other teams.

Identification of areas of improvement and providing feedback for my peers based on business side metrics.

My main activities as a manual tester where the understanding of changes being deployed and creating the test plan and test scenarios needed based on that requirement, combining business analysis and also testing scope in order to generate a full cover test plan and making sure that the deployed JAVA changes are not breaking anything in testing environment, raising bugs if encountered and giving follow up until their resolution.

Working identifying and resolving problems through root cause analysis and research, also creating and condensing data reports pertaining to bank shares in Morgan Stanley for top executives, being part of meetings to discuss process improvements to continually identify, analyze and fix constraints and challenges.
