• Drive supplier development initiatives for the North America Plants by detecting opportunity areas based on root cause investigation and data analysis
• Conduct supplier audits for the top CAPEX suppliers in the Cold End Process Area but not limited
• Develop & enhance Internal procedures realted to CAPEX Supplier Selection and others related to Supplier Development & Purchasing
• Build strong relatonships between CAPEX Suppliers and O-I through effective comunication and leverage NA plant needs
• Incorporate to the existing Process / Procedures any additions from most recent Quality Management systems such as FSSC 22000

Supplier Development Lead for Respiratory, First Aid and Electronics Commodity. Main tasks are deploying the Supplier development strategy by Identifying Risks and oportunity areas inside the business and defining the proper actions and mitigation plans for the next course of action.

New and Potential supplier validation for various types of commodities such as Arc Flash protection, Respiratory devices, several Electronics sub commodities, etc.

Working on the SQDE group I engaged with the highest savings projects providing full support mainly with the supplier transitions, process audits, PPAP aproval, etc.

My core responsibilities were:

-New product introduction.

-Conducting supplier quality control audits on a regular basis to assure that the supplier remains in compliance with company policies and standard regulations, main commodities that i Was working on were hard hats, Lenses for visual protection on solder masks, garnets for Arc protection, etc.

-Engineering Changes.

-Take care of critical supplier issues for mass production parts supporting Honeywell sites located in Chicago, California, etc.

Additional Responsibilities:

-Focal point for the new product introduction team.

-Support in automation & Simplification projects to help identify opportunity areas that lead to cost saving projects

-Provide guidance for Lean tools to local staff to support their projects

Leader of the New Products, Mass Production, Supplier Development and Incoming inspection Group that is conformed by 9 Engineers and over 10 nonunion associates.

My main job responsibilities are:

- Coordinating and Manage the entire group workload of 9 Engineers in charge of Supplier Quality for Electronic and Mechanical Parts as well as Raw Materials in which I’m involved since the Supplier Sourcing, Of tool and Of process stages in Supplier preparation as well as the early stages of the supplier production all the way to Mass Production until Phase out.

-Conducting Supplier Quality Control Audits on a regular basis to assure that Suppliers remain in compliance with the Company Policies and Standard Regulations in which I have experience in several Electronic Parts Commodities such as Display, LED, etc. as well as Mechanical Parts such as Molding, Painting, Stamping, etc.

-Coordinate with Purchasing to find the Best Vendors to Supply Materials for Manufacturing Process.

-Leading Supplier Development Activities based on performance results, root cause and Management Analysis in which my main purpose is to help them enhance their Quality Systems through Process Standardization and Continuous Improvement.

-Develop yearly Quality Improvement Plans based on previous year results in order to Improve department KPI´s.

-Develop and Manage department budget for the resources of the department such as Travel Budget, office Supplies, etc.

I was in charge of Supervising the job of 4 SQE´s in charge of both New Products and Mass Production Parts as well as Incoming Inspection.

My job was basically to manage the workload of 4 SQE´s where they handled New Products, Mass Production, Process change request, Sorting and Incoming Inspection, also my tasks was to develop training systems for specific job descriptions such as Electronic Parts Knowledge and Supplier Quality Handling. One of my main achievements was to benchmark sister companies located in Japan and USA to make KAIZEN activities in Mexico Supplier Control systems and establishing Comunication networks to imporve the information sharing among North America and Japan Group Companies.

My job was to Assure Quality of over 50 Suppliers of the Cockpit and Systems Div. in which I handled Suppliers with Process such as Display Assembly, Printed circuit Boards, LED´s, IC´s etc as well as Mechanical Parts with process such as Painting, Chrome, Molding, Pad Printing, etc.

I was in charge from the New Product stage reviewing and approving Control Plan, PFMEA, Cpk, ISIR, etc as well as conducting Process Audits for the above mentioned Process in locations like Japan, China, Taiwan, Korea and USA until release to Mass Production in which I handled Line and Customer complaints for supplier parts.

In charge of Quality Assurance of over 30 Suppliers in Mass Productio for Power Train División in which I delt with Process like Molding, Stamping, Die Casting, Machining mainly.

My job was basically to make Troubleshooting reports establishing Quick containment actions, follow up to non conforming material in Quarentine until final disposition and follow up and approve Supplier 8D reports from complaints detected in Production Line, Incoming Inspection or Customer with a direct contact with Suppliers Mainly located in Mexico and USA.
