This was a project in which the objective was to develop the ability to design machine elements for given conditions.
In the process I learned to calculate and select bands, chains, springs, shafts, gears and bearings.
Project in which the objective was to learn and develop the process of designing a vehicle, going through all the stages that it requires (engineering, creativity, regulations, models, virtual prototypes, tests, feedback, etc).
In the process I understood the suspension, transmission and steering systems, I know the different types and the points that must be taken into account, mechanically I understand their operation without neglecting active and passive safety.
Regarding the body and chassis, I learned about the factors that must be taken into account such as materials, manufacturing process, ease of repair, spare parts, rigidity, vibrations and durability.
I made calculations, designs and simulations in Solidworks to observe the behavevior of the structure under torsional and bending forces and energy distribution in different impacts.
