Currently I am teaching grade 1 & 3 At Colegio Rex, last year I taught grade 2. During my time here I have focused on:

• Providing warm, supportive environment for developing academic, social, and emotional growth.
• Teaching core subjects of math, science, technology, and history.
• Reinforcing positive behavior by encouraging efforts through affirmation statements and praising accomplishments.
• Establishing open communication and positive relationships with students, parents, peers, and administrative staff.
• Meeting with parents to review Individualized Education Plans for at-risk students.
• Maintaining knowledge of school curricula, standards and policies to correctly prepare students for higher grade levels.
• Creating engaging lessons for ESL students

Since starting with BTPS I have subbed in multiple schools. My focus when I am in the classroom is:

• Enforcing classroom routines
• Implementing lesson plans assigned by classroom teacher to educate students about key concepts.
• Providing notes and reports on school day activities to primary teacher.
• Establishing rules for behavior and classroom expectations

I was a homeroom teacher for grade 3 at Irma School. During my time there I focused on:

• Maintaining positive classroom environments by reinforcing rules for behavior and relationship-building actions.
• Involving parents in student education by cultivating strong relationships.
• Maintaining safe, clean and organized classroom environment.
• Attending in-service training and professional development courses to stay on top of policy and education changes.
• Offering hands-on learning opportunities to develop student self-esteem and life skills.
• Improving student engagement by implementing student-centered classroom management techniques to foster academic curiosity.

Wainwright Elementary School is a K-6 school in a rural Alberta community. There are around 350 students in our school.

• Outlined clear expectations and enforced appropriate student behavior.
• Developed personalized instructional plans to accommodate individual student abilities, needs, and learning styles.
• Established and maintained effective working relationships with teachers, administrators, and students.
• Built strong relationships with students, staff and parents.
