Responsible of operation system on machining areas, manage and support for maintenance, quality and process engineer team. having 357 people under my charge. Responsible for the budget control assigned to APU (Spare parts, tool, tooling) and follow up forecast accomplishment in the APU. Main responsibilities:

Plan the daily and weekly production of the machining and assembly areas, to guarantee the requirements of our customers, as well as carry out action plans to reduce scrap and increase the FTQ of the production lines. Work with the multidisciplinary team to seek improvements to increase line capacities (OEE), as well as take care of the safety of operation team and guarantee compliance with the budget assigned to the area. Plan and Guarantee, together with maintenance team, the PM's of the production line equipment to have an efficiency of 85% and keep them active, present weekly work plans to the plant manager to improve the indicators of the production lines.

Achievements:

  • Reduced scrap in the machining area by 1.82% by A3 problem solution system, based on analysis strategies as well as training for operating people and teamwork with GMP's (Production Improvement Groups), generating annual savings of 126,000 USD with the scrap reduction.
  • CPU cost reduction of $1.86 usd to $1.02 usd with a saving of $232k usd implementing new cuttings tool local suppliers.
  • Increased OEE at the drive shaft lines on 17% performing a SMED for the change over with reduction at 40 min to 15 min. making the line more efficient.
