• Assist in the settlement of disputes of the World Trade Organization (WTO).
• Participate in the negotiation meetings in matters of dispute resolution, competition, investment and services in the Free Trade Area of the Americas (FTAA);
• Participate in the legal review of the following Free Trade Agreements signed by Mexico: North Triangle (Guatemala-Honduras-El Salvador); Israel; European Free Trade Association (EFTA) and Japan.

• Report on the dispute settlement cases of Chapters XIX and XX of the NAFTA;
• Update databases and conduct legal investigations in international trade matters; and
• Participate and organize seminars held at the Institute in the field of International Trade.
