I am a committed advocate for students and a purposeful school counselor. I am passionate, intentional in my practice and a life long learner. I offer 8 years of school counseling experience and 29 total years in Elementary education. I believe each students deserves adult advocacy and has the right to learn, grow social emotionally and make mistakes with support and guidance from the adults in their lives.
My strengths are my leadership qualities, my intentionality, my ability to connect with my students and my interpersonal relationship skills.
I understand the RTI process and have successfully implemented a behavior tracker system that provides data to support prevention and intervention. I am adept in collaborating with success teams to identify root cause and support students in their academic and social emotional areas of need. Additionally, I strive to partner with teachers and parents to form support systems to guarantee the success of all students.
In July 2023 I was a presenter and Keynote Speaker at the Nuestros Pequenos Hermanos Educational Summit in Tegucigalpa Honduras. This PD was offered in Spanish and focused on the use of Restorative Practices in Communities of Trauma.
