The main goal of the project was to calculate aerodynamic coefficients, such as: drag and lift. We intended to calculate these by using recent open access CFD softwares and, if the project succeeded, to propose them as a real alternative to common FEM softwares.
We worked with: DualSPHysics, a software created by U-MOFABI and NEKTAR++.
To create the mesh we used: GMSH
To create 3D models we used: Solidworks
The most promising software is, by far, NEKTAR++. It has proven precision, been able to work in the required Mach regimes and compatibility with several CFD related softwares. The project is still on, however, I have to leave it for personal reasons that will not interfere with my future duties if you give me the opportunity to work with you.
