Summary

Mexican percussionist who began playing traditional Mexican music at an early age, followed by formal musical training in Musical Initiation at the Centro Cultural Ollin Yoliztli, and later completed a Bachelor's degree in Music (Percussion) at the Faculty of Music of UNAM, graduating with honors.

With more than 10 years of experience, he has performed with various ensembles across a wide range of musical genres, including contemporary and classical music, jazz, traditional Mexican music, world music, and Latin music. Also he has participated in national and international festivals in Mexico, the United States, and Colombia.

He has collaborated with musicians from Mexico and abroad, and has participated in the recording of live concert videos, albums, and singles.

Member of the percussion ensemble Lluvia de Palos, which performs contemporary music using sets of pre-hispanic instruments. He is also a member of PULSAR CDMX, a percussion ensemble focused primarily on improvisation and conducting through hand signals.

Now Nowadays has a solo project focused on performing contemporary works by Mexican composers, as well as his own compositions, using traditional Mexican percussion instruments and incorporating pieces with tape and electronic media.

He is a percussionist in Chéjere, an ensemble that combines traditional Mexican music with Latin American musical genres. He has been a percussionist and arranger with the ensemble Yolotecuani, contributing both as a performer and arranger. He also performs as a vibraphonist with the jazz ensemble Aztlan Jazz, where he has composed original works.

He has also worked as a music and percussion teacher in PILARES, a community education program of the Government of Mexico City that provides free access to education, arts, sports, and cultural activities. This year he also worked as a percussion teacher during the 2026 summer course at the Centro Cultural Ollin Yoliztli.
