• Conducted more than 20 country visits in Spanish, French, and Portuguese to discuss human trafficking issues with government officials and civil society (e.g. the United Nations and International Organization for Migration).
• Assisted in the negotiation of the first Child Protection Compact Partnership in Latin America with the Government of Peru. Was essential in the Spanish negotiations with various ministries and high-level officials to agree on shared goals and objectives to combat child trafficking in Peru. Conducted three scoping/assessment visits to the capital, rural, and difficult to reach communities to provide recommendations for the negotiated agreement.
• Drafted Venezuelan migration footprint cable, an administration priority issue, which served officials in the Department’s leadership and in the White House as a basis for engagement.
