Football
My name is Santiago Aguirre Arenas, and I am a 20-year-old student at the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM), studying civil engineering. I've been involved with football in one way or another since I was 5 years old. I started playing football at the age of 6 at Club Gamos A.C., where I continued until I entered high school. During high school, I played for the "Prepa 8 Miguel E. Schulz" Leopards. In addition to playing, I have also been a coach for junior varsity teams and organized flag football tournaments. I have always had a strong attraction to the analytical side of football and how advanced statistics can provide a whole new perspective on the sport. I feel that this job suits me well, as it is something I have enjoyed doing since before, analyzing games play by play to create my scouting reports for the draft.
Obtaining this job will allow me to kickstart a career based on my passion for football, and that's an opportunity that's extremely hard to come by in the region where I live. That's why this opportunity means so much to me and why I'm so motivated.
