Leading a team of four direct reports (ESH Analyst, Doctor Querétaro, Doctor Santa Anita, and Environmental Analyst).

Development and implementation of an internal ESH Management System according to the House of Rules (Internal Continental System) and ISO 45001.

Implementation of the Occupational Medicine department (before joining, the doctors had the function only of providing medical advice to collaborators).

Implementation of mental health experts: during the pandemic, it was detected that a lot of engineers suffered from burnout and stress; therefore, I led the project to implement on-site psychologists.

Green Office Bronze Level achieved for both Querétaro and Santa Anita locations (Green Office is the standard Continental has for sustainability operations).

NOM-002 verification audits conducted by an authorized UVIE to verify our buildings and laboratories are compliant in fire safety.

Various external audits attended (from IMSS and STPS) regarding work stress and work harassment, with zero findings.

A 3-month EHS Manager acting role was performed (due to maternity leave) from January 2019 to April 2019, obtaining an Outstanding E-Star from the Plant Manager (E-Star is Eaton’s recognition program).

2019 Eaton Safety Excellence Award obtained.

Clean Industry Certification achieved for the 2020-2022 period.

Right to Operate = 100% (legal compliance of the plant) achieved in 2019 and 2020.

Champion of Category 7 (Safety), Category 8 (Technical Safety), and Category 9 (Emergency Response) of MESH standards, in charge of implementing and maintaining the requirements from these categories in the plant, achieving a 90% compliance in these categories in the Virtual Corporate Assessment conducted in November 2020.

A fine was achieved in the audit from STPS conducted in Q1 2019.

First year of operations with 0 lost time accidents; 2nd year, 0 lost time accidents until my last day working in the company.

Development and implementation various safety procedures, such as Lockout-Tagout, contractor safety, hazardous energy control, GHS, working at heights, incident reporting, and emergency response and preparedness plans, etc.

Risk assessment of machinery and equipment, with a special focus on avoiding any amputations, and the implementation of corrective actions based on international ISO standards for machine guarding, interlocks, light curtains, etc.

Over 1,000 days without LTA in the Querétaro plant, and over 500 days without LTA in the Saltillo plant.

A 30% reduction in medical treatment accidents at both plants in 2015 (compared to 2014) and zero MTAs in 2016 at both plants were achieved.

Green grade obtained in corporate audit in 2015.

A surprise audit in the Querétaro plant from PROFEPA in 2015 regarding hazardous waste management, in which no findings and no observations were made.

The Health and Safety STPS audit in 2016 at the Saltillo Plant (routine yearly inspection) found no issues in the documentary area and only seven findings during the walkthrough by the inspector, which were corrected immediately, achieving zero fines.
