- Operation now running 24/7 with a team of 200 employees.

- Operations include automotive extrusion and fabrication for large OEMs, Compounding operation, product development department (edgebanding), tool design and commissioning, several different technology extrusion lines to manufacture edgeband in 4 different material type. As Baie D'Urfé was the sole Rehau supplier for north America for edgeband it was considered the most complex of operations globally among the Rehau edgeband plants.

- Amlwch was a 5 year project as part of a Task Force to return the operation back to a profitable business. This task was achieved after 3 years which achieved performances including financial performance that had not been seen on over 20 years. Based on this and during a LEAN internal audit Amlwch gained an audit score which categorises the Plant as one of the top three LEAN Rehau factories globally. As a result Amlwch became the RPS Training Centre for English speaking Rehau factories.
- Fostered a culture of continuous improvement by encouraging open communication between team members and regularly soliciting feedback on operational procedures.

- As part of my training, 6-months were spent in various locations in Germany. Training included Process Engineering in the Pipe extrusion in plant Brake and Rehau. The new business being target in the UK was lost therefore my training path was changed to Window extrusion. As part of this training program, several months were spent in Rehau and then in Plant Wittmund. Following the initial training I returned to plant Blaenau to continue in the role of Process Technician which later evolved to become Operative VT for the Window Extrusion Department at plant Blaenau.
