Work History
Internship Trainee - Nissan School
Nissan Mexicana CIVAC Plant
Jiutepec, Morelos, Mexico
02.2025 - Current
Selected for Nissan School’s 22nd generation and assigned to the Reengineering Laboratory in the Body-in-White (BIW) shop, gaining hands-on experience in process optimization and continuous improvement initiatives.
Performed root cause analysis through job observation techniques, including time studies, step counting, and operator motion analysis, to identify process inefficiencies and support continuous improvement.
Implemented new materials in the plant, including 3D printing materials such as PLA, ABS, and TPU, for multiple applications detailed below, contributing to reduced operating costs, minimized rework and material waste, and significant improvements in three of the plant’s key KPIs.
Designed and developed 3D-printed spot welding guides using SolidWorks as part of a Q3 preventive action plan; validated performance through in-line testing and coordinated final manufacturing (Q4).
Designed and developed protections for critical body visual zones to eliminate damage risk factors and reduce one of the plant’s key KPIs.
Designed and implemented PSW (Portable Spot Welding) holder protections using SolidWorks to support the Quality department during first and second line audits. This solution eliminated key risks such as part damage, current leakage (improving spot weld quality), and equipment wear and contributed to cost reductions by minimizing rework and material waste
Applied the PDCA methodology to support continuous improvement and the evaluation of alternative materials, aiming to optimize tool durability, ergonomics, and cost-efficiency.
Management Co-Leader
Politecnico Scuderia SAE
Mexico City
07.2024 - Current
Achieved 2nd place overall in Formula SAE Mexico, 1st place in Business Plan, 3rd place in Cost, and 3rd place in Design, contributing to the team’s best national performance to date.
Assisted in the development of an Engineering Bill of Materials (eBOM) to optimize resource allocation, improve project planning, and enhance cost control.
Developed a cost report to determine the expenses of each vehicle component and system, including manufacturing costs.
Performed a business plan outlining the financial strategy and feasibility of the project.
Cross-department collaboration (Chassis, Electronics, Powertrain and Aerodynamics) improved my soft skills, emotional intelligence, and stress management.
Collaborated with other co-leaders on strategic planning initiatives to align team goals with main objectives.
