  • Developed financial models for twelve sustainable green projects (water, solid waste, energy efficiency) in Mexico, ensuring their financial viability (bankable projects)
  • Proposed optimal financing schemes for twelve sustainable green projects based on their available resources and general characteristics: Design-Build Contract, Public Private Partnership. Four of them are being developed
  • Developed a virtual toolkit for the states and municipalities of Mexico that will help develop and structure green and sustainable projects including bankability parameters

  • Structured water projects (aqueducts, desalination plants, treatment plants), solid waste projects, highways, hospitals, and energy projects (public lighting, hydroelectric plants, storage caverns), under Public Private Partnership PPP schemes, ensuring they had the bankability requirements.
  • Presented risk analyzes to internal credit committees; the structures included guarantees, trusts. All requests were approved. I led the financial closing processes, review of credit contracts, guarantees, and trusts.
  • One of the most important projects I worked on was the Atotonilco wastewater treatment plant, the biggest treatment plant in the world.
    The investment was 550 million USD and was financed by a syndicated loan of 170 million USD, non-reimbursable resources from National Fund and private capital.
  • Prepared credit and risk analysis, built the financial model with sensitivity scenarios; I led due dilligence process with the sponsors, advisors and National Fund; I led the syndication process with 5 commercial banks. The credit was fully drawn down, at this moment the project is in operation stage.
  • The project was nominated in 2011 for the Global Water Awards' Water Deal of the Year. It won the 1st place having identified and promoted the best financial practices in infrastructure projects.

  • The most important Project I worked on was solid waste in State of Chiapas, Mexico. It was the fist project financing by the National Fund (FONADIN acronym in spanish) and Banobras as a Development Bank in México.
    I built the financial model in accordance with the terms and conditions of the financing granted by the Fund and Banobras. The financing was 300 million. The project was developed, it´s in operation stage.
